I was very pleased

Most recent visit with Amy the hygienist was very good indeed. I had some bad stains on the back on my lower front teeth. Amy did a great job on them and I was very pleased.

YOUR HYGIENE OPTIONS

Supportive hygiene therapy

A supportive therapy appointment is typically a 30 minute appointment and is for a patient who has previously had in-depth gum treatment. Supportive hygiene therapy is provided instead of maintenance to ensure that the gum disease cycle is kept to a minimum.

During your appointment our hygienist, Joanne, will carry out a complete review of your medical history and a routine oral cancer screening will be performed. Joanne will carry out removal of harmful plaque and bacteria using hand held and ultra sonic scalers and a traditional polish – this may be done in one or multiple visits, depending on your gum health and requirements.

You will be provided with individualised oral hygiene education and instruction to ensure that you are using the most effective techniques. The aim is to prevent further bone loss and promote a healthy mouth.

Diamond white clean

A diamond white clean is ideal for patients suffering from staining on their teeth caused by tea, coffee, red wine and smoking. It is also highly beneficial for patients that would like their teeth whiter, but do not want to have to commit to the process of at-home whitening.

A diamond white clean typically lasts for 30 minutes, although this may need to be longer, depending on the level of staining. Your visit will have a similar appointment structure to the maintenance visit but instead of the use of traditional hand held and ultra-sonic scalers, your hygienist, Joanne will use state of the art airflow technology.

The airflow technique is able to gently remove all staining from your teeth with the use of a high pressure water spray. The technique is pain free and offers immediate results.
